Pool School
Some great instructors have signed on for  “Pool School”, If you are interested contact the LO. Slots will be limited. “Pool School” will offer a variety of clinics with different instructors. Students can chose who they want to work with and what they want to work on. Each clinic will be priced individually and also, there  will be a small fee for the  stroke and break video analysis. Participants can decide who they might like to work with. The goal is to give players a chance to really improve his/her game in 2010.

Headed to Vegas!!!

Big Winners:
Chicago Central APA had a very successful Regional with its players winning trips to Las Vegas!! Not pictured but gaining a big V was Mo Ghouse by winning the 8-Ball competition. Picture #1 is Frank Citarelli who also won in 8-Ball. Picture #2 is Gino Ong who will be representing in both 8-Ball and 9-Ball. Rob Stensby is pictured in #3 and will be returning to Vegas ready to win even bigger.
All of these players took advantage of the Singles Boards Program. In the APA, everyone can play and anyone can win a trip to Vegas!!!

Notes for the Week

Congrats to all who played in the regional event; we had a very good showing.

And thanks to all who showed up to support these players.

The BIG winners:

Mo Ghouse and Frank Citarelli, both are going to Vegas for the Nationals in 8 ball,

Gino Ong and Rob Stensby in 9 Ball.

Give them a big hand; they deserve it. Good job people!

UNPAID players

Any unpaid players needs need to be resolved ASAP!

I have not been able to there were a couple of players who where marked paid, and who had not paid. I have fixed this issue so if you see you are now not paid and think you were, please look at your pay folder and to see if I made a mistake. Otherwise, you owe it. If you are removing someone do it now or you will become past due for this player.

If you still have a question or concern please give me call or an email.

**Please take your membership cards from the folders**

*Handicap Review Sheets are coming in the next few weeks,

All team captains must review and sign to receive bonus point for that week.*

 Reminder

Please complete all info on the score sheets

Once again, teams will lose bonus points if sloppy score sheets continue to be submitted.

Singles Boards

Will start the single board program on Sat again. Would like to try a couple on Friday

Nights too, please give me some feed back.

Something New!

I am also working on a Quali-Fiver board for 4’s and under. Watch the website for

more details. This will be a pre-pay board and is the best way to get to the Regional.

One will be posted at CPH with a registration sheet and fact sheet on how it works.

Join the APA!
While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball blindfolded, getting an APA Membership Card is much easier. Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments. How does the APA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
