New Division Forming
Starting this spring session, there will be a new division of the Chicago Central APA at G Cue Billiards. If you are interested in joining or starting a team contact LO, Gregg Taylor at 773-750-8470.

Pool School
The plan was to have the next version of “Pool School” in January, but some of the "Pro" instructors that have been chosen were competing at Derby City. “Pool School” will offer a variety of clinics with different instructors. Students can chose who they want to work with and what they want to work on. Each clinic will be priced individually and also, there  will be a small fee for the  stroke and break video analysis. Participants can decide who they might like to work with. The goal is to give players a chance to really improve his/her game in 2010. "Pool School" is being planned for March. Look for a schedule and pricing to be posted. Class size will be limited.

While some membership cards require you to be able to jump the cue ball, bank it off three rails and sink the 8-Ball blindfolded, getting an APA Membership Card is much easier. Having fun, meeting new people and playing pool is what the APA is all about.. You don't have to be a pool shark, because in the APA -- everyone can play and anyone can win. The APA wants beginners and novices, because it is the AMATEUR Poolplayers Association. No other organization in pool gives ordinary players a chance to win a share of nearly $1.5 MILLION guaranteed cash and prizes paid out through its national tournaments. How does the APA do it? It uses The Equalizer® handicap system to determine the amount of games a player has to win in order to capture the match. It allows a novice to win less games than a more-skilled opponent to win a match.
